In addition to planning and managing Configuration Items (CIs) of heterogeneous infrastructures within Information and Telecommunication Technology (ICT), the AixBOMS Cable Management application specifically focuses on physical connection management in accordance with ISO/OSI Layer 1. You will be efficiently supported in the planning, management, and control of classic structured cabling in the LAN area (primary, secondary, tertiary), unstructured LANs, and complex MAN/WAN structures. You determine the level of detail yourself: from component-granular to conductor and fiber precision. Various graphic views such as web masks, tree structure analysis, single or mass connection analysis, and diverse drawings are available to you for a clear presentation within a uniform interface. You can design these yourself using the provided, user-friendly editors without the need for additional graphics programs.

With the RackView Editor and 3D Data Centre, you get a photorealistic, real-time visualisation of your distribution cabinet setups and patching information. CMDBFrom entries, RackView fully automatically determines all graphical elements and displays them in the distribution cabinet view with the front and rear sides according to the respective installation component, such as splice boxes, switches, routers, and patch panels, precisely in terms of position and occupancy.

Connection analyses

Connection analyses of physical connection infrastructure from one or more source ports to target ports, or between any ports, have become significantly more complex. Logical (aggregated or assigned) or virtual ports, as well as multiplex lines, trunks, or paths across duct systems, must now be taken into account. Different dynamic analyses help to search and graphically display individual connections, mass connections, or entire networks.
