Datazones

Extended tenant concept for service portals, subsidiaries or branches

AixBOMS Datazones is the further development of the former tenant concept. Tenants are used when a customer needs or wants to set up different datazones in a single database (environment) for organisational, technical, or geographical reasons.

This is the case, for example, when only authorised groups or users are allowed to access specific network or device data, when the data centre provider or collocator provides its end customers with Service Portal if specific customer data is to be provided only, or if requirements are defined that cannot be achieved with standard user or group permissions.

Development Suite: Developer User Interface

Datazones are defined by appending a unique key to each individual record in the database. The assignment of this key to a datazone determines, for queries (including those via administrative processes or APIs), surface-level representations, or analyses, who the „owner“ of the record is, and who is authorised to read or modify it – down to the field level.

AixBOMS Datazones: Object- and relation-based Definition

„Data zoning is a special feature of our AixBOMS Enterprise Servers and can be applied to modules, object classes or function calls.
