In our history, we have already integrated a series of market-leading inventory and discovery systems (e.g. IBM, BMC, ServiceNow, HPE, Cisco). Project experience with these has shown: high licensing costs for the discovery tools and significant customisation efforts for integration into AixBOMS, for example for matching, reconciliation and automation. Subsequent partner software offers an easy-to-manage, fully integrated solution.
JDisc Discovery It inventories and automatically creates IT documentation for your entire network, recognising all major operating systems (including HP-UX, Solaris and AIX). The IT documentation includes hardware and software information, IP networks, Windows domains, and Active Directory installations. Furthermore, JDisc Discovery identifies all major virtualisation technologies, as well as many cluster systems. With additional optional JDisc add-ons, you can also determine the logical and physical network topology and the communication paths between computers in the network, as well as manage the history of all device information.
AixBOMS Inventory loads the inventory results from JDisc and its add-ons into the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), where all AixBOMS modules store their inventory and configuration data. It uses the AixBOMS Integration Engine, a high-end integration solution for the reliable import of large volumes of data from third-party systems, including job control for regular application. This makes the JDisc data available to the involved management applications for holistic planning, administration, and interdisciplinary analysis.

The integration of the IT inventory product JDisc Discovery with AixpertSoft’s CMDB solution „AixBOMS“ offers benefits to customers of both companies. JDisc customers can access a CMDB and solutions built upon it, such as service, cable, or configuration management. AixpertSoft’s customers benefit from the ability to reconcile information in the CMDB with the current data of their IT environment. The data exchange between JDisc Discovery and AixBOMS enables the transfer of actual state data into the CMDB with minimal effort.
