Until its spin-off in 2006, AixpertSoft was part of the IT consulting company ComConsult Kommunikationstechnik GmbH [now: agineo GmbH]. Since then, AixpertSoft has concentrated on the software business. Management, sales, and development teams have been active within the company since the 1990s. The industry-independent product line „AixBOMS“ has been on the market since 2001 and focuses on „IT Infrastructure Management“, „Business Service Management and Monitoring“, and „Data Centre Infrastructure Management“. AixpertSoft is now independent, self-funded, and owner-managed.
AixBOMS combines functions and innovations of a central IT repository for infrastructure management with 30 years of customer experience, alongside the experiences and ideas of its predecessor product CCM (ComConsult Communication Manager) in the areas of cable and network management. In this way, data centre management (DCIM), networking and connectivity (incl. IPv6) and business service management have been supplemented since the early 2000s with a strong practical focus and today form the core of the product line. AixBOMS is available in the variants Small and Medium Business (SMB), SaaS (Cloud), Enterprise and Development and Data Integration.
A key principle of the AixBOMS product line is its adaptability and ability to integrate into the customer environment, and to be adapted by the customer themselves. This means the customer does not necessarily need the manufacturer to make adjustments to data structures, functions, interfaces, or user interfaces (GUI). An in-house development environment (Development Suite) or our integration engines and methods are readily available and have been extensively tested in practice. We do not approach the customer with a replacement or substitution strategy, but rather aim to seamlessly integrate into their existing tool and process landscape.
AixBOMS is industry-independent, but due to its outstanding features, it is often used in the public sector or government environment, in the service provider environment, or in demanding industrial operations. Here, in addition to development capability, multi-tenancy, scalability, cluster operation, security and compliance guidelines, service and security monitoring, the extremely high quality of the product line comes into play. We can guarantee this because, as a „healthy German medium-sized company,“ we have always remained true to the Made in Germany seal.

In 2013, AixBOMS celebrated its 10th anniversary and won the IT service category at the IT Innovation Prize 2013 from the Initiative Mittelstand. AixBOMS received the eco Internet Award 2013 for best solution in the Housing / Hosting / DataCenter category for developments in the DCIM sector, and AixBOMS was among the Top 15 DCIM tools. At the end of 2015 and 2016, AixpertSoft was awarded silver in the Reader's Choice for the DataCenter Insider IT Awards! AixBOMS is currently used by around 15,000 users.
