Data Centre and Certification

Project „Data Centre KPIs and Certification“ (self-financed)

„Methodological analysis and evaluation of data centre KPIs for certification support and contribution to the definition of novel performance parameters“

The self-funded research project is aligned with the certification and analysis objectives of the data centre operator and aims to determine its „status quo“ in individual aspects. Previously, certification projects have typically been carried out using an interview process or through manual value determination or evaluation. The present research project is dedicated to the automated determination of values and corresponding evaluation by software.

The focus here is not only on utilising the values, attributes and specifications of certificates, but also on making them configurable with customer-specific KPIs (from their operational situation, management specifications, performance parameters) and evaluating them. The aim here is to combine measured data (sensor technology), IT configuration data (configuration) and load profiles (workloads) (see research project „Data Centre and AI“). in relation to a wide variety of performance and management indicators or objectives (KPIs).
