How does AixBOMS support dual-stack?

AixBOMS supports two common dual-stack methods for the parallel operation of IPv4 and IPv6. This makes it particularly suitable for the introduction of IPv6, where most companies plan a phase of temporary operation of both addressing concepts for quality assurance.

Calculated dual-stack

The AixBOMS Dual-Stack Assistant automatically calculates a corresponding IPv6 address for each selected IPv4 address.

Relationship method

Using a pre-defined mapping (relation) of an IPv6 network to an IPv4 network, IPv6 addresses for dual-stack can be generated from the corresponding network.
