AixBOMS is more than a passive documentation system

Since our beginnings in 1989 (ComConsult Communication Manager), we have continuously adapted AixBOMS to current trends and customer requests. What was once a purely documentation system for Cable & Connectivity has now become a powerful control tool for all IT services and infrastructures.

 

With its Advanced CMDB, AixBOMS offers both the foundation for holistic management, including related disciplines (air conditioning, energy supply, facility, monitoring, ITSM, etc.), and a comfortable GUI that processes graphics elements and operations 1:1 with the corresponding database elements and operations. A variety of wizards and graphical editors are available for intuitive processing, which is both secure and efficient.

 

This is how we offer you a future-proof and reliable control element with AixBOMS and its applications, which can also cover areas it doesn't inherently possess (yet) through its sophisticated integration interfaces. The diverse relationships that data objects from various management areas can enter into, including interdisciplinarily, allow for a holistic view of complex structures and matters, as is needed/expected in a service-oriented IT today. Business rules ensure adherence to fundamental principles and plausibilities and are consistently adapted when extending the data model and applications.

 

We refer to our AixBOMS Suite with its management applications as Landscape, because

  • covers a wide range of disciplines
  • it offers a variety of editors and assistants, optimised for intuitive editing of the respective application area
  • provides coloured maps, drawings and structural views which, due to a well-thought-out graphic design, fit harmoniously into the overall picture
  • the intuitive operation, support from assistants and business rules relieve the user in their daily tasks and help to avoid errors
  • the AixBOMS Landscape is continuously adapted by us to current trends and customer requirements
  • just as „landscape“ serves as a collective term for different geographical areas of varying types, allowing them to be viewed as a whole, we use „AixBOMS Management Landscape“ as an umbrella term for our CMDB core together with the many applications for managing IT infrastructures, data centres and services
