The cycles in which new technologies see the light of day are becoming ever faster. Buzzwords such as SASE, SD-WAN, Zero Trust or Intent-Based Networking now dominate the discourse.

Alongside all these terms, the question is increasingly arising as to how we can establish safe operation, rapid fault analysis, and manageable administration in this environment.

Furthermore, new technologies are increasingly challenging established network designs and redundancy procedures. Who still needs Layer 2 or Layer 3 fabrics in the data centre if SASE is to be used?

Which infrastructures in the data centre and for cloud connectivity will shape the market in the future?

To give you an answer to these future questions today, we spoke with various manufacturers for our special event Networks 2023 and summarised the most important trends:
