The AixBOMS REST API is the completion of the extensive capabilities of AixBOMS data and system integration. REST methods are particularly suitable for calls via URL when integrating small amounts of data (no mass data), specific data, or a large number of external systems (interfaces).
Typical integrations or application areas include EAI (orchestration bus), commercial systems, process systems (ESM, ITSM, third-party workflow engines) or sensor technology. The URL call can be integrated into the interfaces of the 3rd-party systems as well as started via script. The command sets control the method (read, insert, update, delete), and the specific AixBOMS REST module controls the data area.
