AixBOMS Workflow Designer

To utilise the automation of work processes in AixBOMS, you must first perform a formal process definition. AixBOMS offers the Workflow Designer for this purpose, whose graphical user interface provides clear templates with suitable preset values and selection lists for easy and quick operation. You can break down a workflow into subprocesses, assign activities to it and its subprocesses, allocate roles for their execution, and agree on conditions for transitions from one activity to another. This information is based on the usual models for activities, roles, and state transitions.

The management of workflows is object-oriented, exactly like the management of Configuration and Service Items. All required definitions, dependencies, and information can be stored in the AixBOMS CMDB for this purpose and, if necessary, reused in individual parts.
