What makes it special is a significantly broader range of applications and monitoring right up to Layer 7 using a packet-based method without affecting the base systems and services.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Integrated Service Monitoring: What is it?<\/h4>\n<p>We have been dealing with the topic of IT infrastructure management and data centres for many years, for which the term DCIM (Data Centre Infrastructure Management) is used today. This includes areas of responsibility such as configuration management, cable and network management, planning and monitoring of components, etc. The scope, complexity, and at the same time the requirements regarding security and content have increased enormously over the years \u2013 and so have the associated costs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The management of such complex, dynamic systems has gained an additional dimension through the progressive trend of service orientation. Finding software that can meet all requirements, including future ones, seems hardly possible at the moment. Therefore, solutions are needed that can adapt<strong> integrate <\/strong>to allow, to maintain standards and to position oneself as independently as possible from manufacturers, as for example AixBOMS.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>AixBOMS has been developed according to the 3-tier architecture. These are specifically geared towards the analysis of services and also enable further service-based processing, such as customer-specific billing or the consideration of SLA agreements.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The necessity of a central CMS with open interfaces is undisputed and has been among the standard selection criteria for DCIM software for years. However, it is often overlooked how differently the terms \u201eintegrative\u201c and \u201eopen\u201c are used by manufacturers. True CMSs in the sense of a 3-layer model support the customer with functions such as ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), reconciliation (data matching), normalisation, consolidation, job control, predefined load templates, etc. If these are missing, the customer must ensure the clean mapping of their data themselves. Otherwise, they run the risk that the CMS is merely a loose collection of individual data stores (silos) and the relationships essential for holistic management cannot be utilised.<\/p>\n<h4>What is so special about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.consistec.de\/\/\">Consisted<\/a>Solution?<\/h4>\n<p>consistec\u2019s solution is based on the so-called package-oriented method and enables monitoring up to <strong>Layer 7 <\/strong>possible, regardless of the type of network components or the transmission protocols used.
